Success Stories 2009 - Here's why we do what we do.

Hans
Abby has come a long way from life on the
streets. She is very happy in her new home!
Karla

Witney (formerly Annika)
A note from her new home:
We have had almost two weeks with our precious Witney. She is such a sweetheart. Where ever I go
she goes. Loves to play fetch, and actually brings the ball or frisbee back and drops it at our feet. The
one picture is a training session with my son. She loves to go for walks and wants to meet everybody on
the way. She is such a perfect fit in our family. She is very smart, had a bad habit of getting on the
furniture and only took a week to change that habit. She is so loving and wants to please everyone.
Along the back fence of out property we have a land bridge that is owned by the rancher in the valley.
Every now and then his cattle move from one area to another and the second day Witney had her first
encounter with the cattle. She was in the house and barked at them, let her out and realized that they
were bigger than her. So he sat on the patio and watched them go by. We would like to thank you ladies
for bringing us together, it is going to be a very long relationship. Thanks for all you do. Will keep you up
to date on her life.

Sugar
Update from her new home:
Sugar had a great time with
her new
pack this weekend & has
taken quite well to the office.
She is now a working dog.
She does the "Wal-Mart"
meet & greet quite well.

Thunder (formerly Hero)
Here is an update from his new home: He is doing really well. We went to our first training class on
Wednesday evening, kind of orientation. We are practicing what they suggested before the first class with
dogs next week and he is SUPER smart! It's amazing how quickly he learns. Abby has trained him to wait
for his dinner with it sitting right in front of him with only a word and a hand signal. He went camping with us
great with agility in our back yard, can jump about 1 1/2 feet and run over the a-frame. He still loves the great
with agility in our back yard, can jump about 1 1/2 feet and run over the a-frame. He still loves the dinosaur
chew toy you brought with you, loves to play fetch with it! He looks funny dragging that big toy dinosaur chew

other dogs have actually become fairly friendly. Brie, the larger dog, doesn't really play with him but she
occasionally licks his face and accepts a lick from him. One of Abby's friends has a Border Collie puppy
about a month older than Thunder and we have had several play dates together. They were fast friends and
it's really funny to watch them play together.
with Thunder. He and Abby are inseparable!

Bridget was adopted by her foster parents.
Update from her new home:
Thought I'd send over a pic I took of Bridget this afternoon. I
got a call from the vet saying it's time for her boosters so I'm
going to make an appointment for next week to take her in.
She's definitely gotten taller since we've had her, almost as
tall as Niko, but I'm curious as to her exact numbers. We
start puppy obedience classes next week as well so we'll
see how she does. She definitely keeps us on our toes but
she's a great dog and we're really happy we have her.
Thanks again for letting us keep her!

Maya
She looks so happy in her new home.
A note from her new home:
Here she is. The pics really don't do her justice. She is so gorgeous, and
everyone at the vet just loves her. She is already Miss Popularity. They
commented on how happy and sweet she is. We go together like peas
and carrots. I love the love and affection I get from her every day all day,
and I think she feels the same from us. Thank you so much! She is a gift
from God. We will cherish her forever.
