Kira - (formerly Glenna) This young girl was found along the side of the road in Seguin. She now has a wonderful home.

Jonah - This lucky guy was adopted with another of our pups,
Meg.
Update Jonah's Adoption - Well, it would appear that Jonah had a
hidden talent he kept from his foster family! He has turned out to be an
escapist. Not an artist mind you, but he has figured out how to remove
boards from a privacy fence. Not once, but twice! To the great alarm of his
Rescue group and new family! Both times have ended happily and a
conference was held between all concerned parties. Plans for additional
security and behavioral modifications have been put into play. Hopefully,
now, Jonah and his new follower (but not accomplice) Meg, will remain secure
in their new, beautiful, green (complete with kiddie pool) backyard, and this
will be the only explorations he'll need.
This just in ~ May 8, 2006 ~ From Kira's New Dad -
I'd like to thank you for helping me adopt Glenna and I apologize for having not
replied to your email sooner. She is a wonderful dog! I have actually changed her
name to Kira. I like it and I think she is beginning to know it. She has opened up
quite a bit in the last week and is feeling more at home. She responds well and
has been very playful, though still a bit tentative at times. She has learned to use
the stairs, in fact yesterday she basically surfed down 'em, then slid across the
floor at the bottom. She looked up at me as if to say "whoa, what just happened?"
She hasn't been using the crate much, and I've done my best to puppy-proof the
house. She hasn't destroyed anything of value yet and she likes to sleep on my
laundry pile in my bedroom at night because I don't let her on the bed. She heals
really well on walks around the neighborhood or on trips to the park. So far, she's
been a joy....more later
Update - Oct 2007 - Look how much Kira has grown!!
Kira is doing well. I moved into a different house in the same neighborhood with
my new fiance and now Kira has a half acre yard in which to run. She's also has a
little freind/brother-in law in the form of a 7yr old terrier mix named Romeo. They
get along well and chase each other around the house/yard. I'm still in awe of how
well behaved and intelligent Kira is, she is a great dog. Thanks again for rescuing
her and offering her to me.

Here are a few photos of Nino and his new girlfriend! Isn't She Purdy?

Nino - Nino was adopted by a wonderful couple that was looking for a
companion for their female White German Shepherd. First requirement was
that Tasha LIKE the newcomer. Second was that the newcomer didn't try to
play a dominant role. Enter >> Nino!!
Do ya think we got it right?
