Referrals
How did you hear about German Shepherd Rescue Central Texas?
If you remember the name of the group, website, or person who referred you, please let us know who it was.
When you determine which dog(s) you would like to meet, please fill out our adoption application. The application is a way for us to gather more
information about you for an initial screening. Once we receive your application, one of our volunteers will contact you within 48 hours.
You are required to provide three personal references and a vet reference on your application. After you application is approved, we will conduct a
home check to make sure your home is ready for a dog to live. When you are approved for adoption, then we will set up an appointment for you to
meet the dogs. Our dogs live with foster parents, most of whom work regular jobs. The final step is to complete the adoption contract.
Adoption Donation
The adoption donation is $250.00. This adoption donation helps to recover a least part of the cost of shelter release fees, spay/neuter, de-worming,
shots, and other vet bills as well as food, and flea/heart worm preventative. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered before adoption, are current on all
shots, and on heart worm preventative. Additional contributions are accepted and gratefully appreciated.

GSDRESCUECTX is not able to grant every application for adoption. Applications are processed on a first come-first serve basis, but are
approved based on which application is the best match for the animal. Please note: Our dogs are placed into the most suitable home
according to their temperament and needs. It is not abnormal for multiple families to be interested in the same dog at the same time. We
reserve the right to select the home we feel is the most appropriate for our dogs. We have set these guidelines with careful thought
and understand that your opinion may differ from ours. We commend you for understanding this policy and your desire to save a rescue
dog!
